Chapter Thirteen - Caged With Emotions

Eva found herself trapped. Trapped in a black world, there seemed to be no floor, but she was standing on something solid for sure. Suddenly, the world changed. In front of her appeared on image of her sitting on a green hill with Kaynen at sunset. They sat there; just watching the sun sink away; all Eva could see was the back of their heads, not the faces. They were about ten-years-old in the picture. Her long blond hair was curly, very curly. She was wearing a blue summer sun dress, simple but comfortable. Chapter Twelve

Kaynen felt nothing but anger with each step. He had to resist punching and kicking everything that crossed their path.

“Where are we going,” Sivila demanded, as they pushed past many fleeing townspeople. They were headed back to what was once his home.

“I don’t know where we will find Eva…Trinth may have known something but now that isn’t an option. We are heading for the center of town and I will ask around if anyone saw or knows anything at all about these events or that bloody monster,” Kaynen replied sharply.

Chapter Eleven

Kaynen, Kyano, and Sivila were walking down the old dusty path to Eva’s home. They were still in the wood when they suddenly heard a scream from up ahead. Each looked at each other, and picked up the pace, now running. Soon, they were at the small little farm…only now it was nothing but ashes. Kaynen and the others stopped dead in their tracks, jaws dropped. Kaynen’s head shook with disbelief as he took in the terrible scene.

Kaynen then threw back his head and screamed.

Cythia and Torrick had been walking through Rymia Forest for a while now and there were hardly any conversations, just mostly silence. Birin and Torrick only exchanged a few words, Cythia however remained absolutely silent.

“We’re here!” exclaimed Birin throwing up his arms in joy.

“Where is…here?” Torrick asked, looking around the forest clearing suspiciously.

“My camp,” answered Birin.

“It’s underground,” declared Cythia, she then walked over to a large flat rock beside a tall tree.
